Idaho Technical Committee

Mission
The mission of the NORFMA Idaho Technical Committee is to establish shared goals among Idaho’s flood management community and promote better flood risk management practices statewide by improving flood science, education, and communication, and coordination.

The Idaho Technical Committee, established in November 2019, will:
• Conduct regular meetings to discuss local floodplain management topics
• Identify or publish documents that provide assistance to communities and professionals in Idaho in addressing floodplain management challenges
• Help connect local floodplain professionals to the training and resources provided by NORFMA and AFSPM
• Provide Idaho floodplain professionals a network of peers to foster collaboration and coordination
